Getting ready for our visit

What to expect on your visit from MCB Heating Ltd

When you speak with us to book your appointment with MCB Heating we will send you an email to confirm the details and time of our arrival. We will also aim to call you on the day to let you know when we’re on the way if requested. If you are having work completed on your heating system, please consider that we will need to access the boiler, airing cupboard (if applicable) and gas meter. For your new heating installation, we will also need to access all the radiators for bleeding the system and testing after the work to make sure the radiators are getting warm.

How to ensure safe access

We will use dustsheets when completing work to protect surfaces and wear shoe covers to protect your carpet. If you have anything in front of the space to access your boiler and tanks, please can you make sure this is moved where possible, to give our engineer safe access. Also, if you have anything in the cupboard on any shelving under or around the boiler and tanks, please can you move this, if possible. This will ensure the engineer has enough space for access when working on your system. If you have a heavy item like furniture that may need moving, we will be happy to assist you with this if you need us to.

Please also advise us if your property is in a permit parking area and if we will need to have a guest parking permit when at your property. If required, we can plan around parking restrictions if we know in advance.

Mostly our engineers are OK with pets, however, please do take care to consider if your pet needs keeping out of the way if they are nervous or wary of meeting new people. We will always aim to explain what work will be carried out and whether there will be any loud noises during certain stages of work. All these things can be discussed when we speak to you so feel free to ask us any questions when getting your appointment booked in.
